really really cheap mods!

i was wondering what are some really cheap engine mods...I want a lil more power and throttle response...and it needs to be under about 100- 150$

Have you thought about a Boyesen quick shot for the carb? They are supposed to eliminate the bog when you nail the throttle. Also what about a cam or a high comp piston. Taking off the airbox lid would help too.

I would also suggest the boyesen quickshot. It does eliminate all bottom end bog and makes for instant throttle response. They are $95 from boyesen's website, but I've seen them at other places for as low as $80. You'll just have to look around.

ok....i mite get the carb quickshot or the cam not sure.....but post some more cheap things for good prices.....are these gonna make it any harder to crank???

Quickshot is the biggest waste of money! If your carb is jetted right, and a 55 leak jet for $6 you wouldn't need the quickshot. You guys should try that before wasting money on those quickshots. AND THAT IS A FACT!!!!:)

I tried that....and it didn't want to go anywhere.... i gave it throttle and nothing. ..

What you need is the HRC kit. Absalutley best inexpensive power mod for the money. and of coarse it is made by honda. Where else can you get a bigger head pipe, Cam, carb needle,jet, and elect. mod etc. for as little as from what i hear $280 on ebay. little higher than 100-150. guess you gonna have to put in a little OT for the extra money. this is just my opinion. I do know that motor power is night and day with HRC kit. Major improvement and you will not be dissatified.

i dont really need the HRC kit b/c ive got alot of the stuff itcomes w/ and nowalli would need outta it is the cam....:ermm:

Maybe I missed this, but what year is the 450? I agree that the quickshot is not necessary... And what do you have from the HRC kit besides the cam??? The cam is the most HP increasing part...

If you haven't done it already, you can jack the rev limiter for free if you know which wire to cut and if you don't have a pipe you can cut some of the baffle out for free to get more flow (along with the airbox lid previously mentioned...).

yeh taking the air box cover off with out rejeting will do nothing for you. my advice is cam and rejet...get rid of that tiny tiny main jet that comes in that thing!

see what i mean littlefoot everybody knows everything but really if you seal off your frame really tight you can fill it with nitros you will get cheap horse power you can probably do this mod for around 20.00
