measure the 450r shock eye to eye and see if its as long as the shock on ebay.

it is not just the length you gotta worry about the linkages might be different or the resivoirs might be bigger smaller or in diff. places n such

TRX good call on the axis shock:macho even if they are diffrent eye to eye that dosent mean much cause of shock being able to be shorter or longer im just curious i thought the rear ends were the same:confused:

yeah man I am not sure better make sure first

but I think someone did do it before but I think you have to get it revavled for the 450r and since it is a remote rezzie it might work but you can always sell it if it doesnt work

The 400ex rear shock is over an inch longer than the 450R rear shock, there is no way it is correct. Just buy the rear shock that is meant for your quad. The stroke of the shock is different, The linkages are different and the leverage ratios on the shocks are different.

I have a custom axis rear450r shock setup for the stock swingarm and linkage for sale. I was going to get it revalved as I bought it off ebay in brand new condition, but I blew my motor for the 3rd time in 8 months and I am going to sell my quad when I fix it, so I don't need the shock. I am asking $350 plus shipping as that is what I paid for it.

what is causing your engine to blow? i noticed in your sig that u have a 480 kit. do u think that the kit is putting to much strain on the motor?

1st crank bearings went, and took the piston/cylinder with it, 2nd 4 gear went and took most of the tranny with it, 3rd time 480 piston cracked in half ( ice racing must be hard on crap), and the final straw, the tranny went last weekend and somehow carcked the left side carnk case, ghoin to be $900 in parts. The quad has a lot of hours on it though.
