cut the fenders, how does it look ?

my wife thinks im crazy for cutting the fenders on a new quad.
what do you guys think ?
I can still take the fenders off if it looks too odd.
also im not sure about the trx stickers on the hood, they are part of the original decals, I cut the 450r part off and stuck it under the cut fenders.

Personal preference.I dont like it i think the way Honda designed them they already are race look and do what there supposed to do!But if u like it then there you go!:devil:

yeah i dont like the front fenders cut or removed. i think it looks kind of odd.

Either remove them, or keep them full in my opinion. I have been considering getting a set of black fronts to put on mine.

I seen one done like that and it looked pretty nifty to me.

the new front ends of em r blah... not the same... i liked the old style better.... but i am iffy on cutting the fenders

THere nice but try to round them and make them even on both sides. File them down and sand them fine. THey look good.


i have the stock ones cut and i bought the maierblack ones and left them alone. It dep[ends on the condion of the weather. Its nice to be able to change them.

Also personal preference. I don't like the fenders, or the trx graphics on the hood. That one industries kit looks really good though.

thankx for your honest opinions, I didnt really dig the trx on the hood either, it just looked really plain from the front. Im getting the front fender brackets pc'd black so they dont stick out.
Im leaning toward a hmf slip and some black nerfs and ill call it done unless I break something.

I got my 05 black 450r yesterday and already totally unbolted the fenders. I love it now, the bike feels so much wider in the front.

Those 4 rivits were tough little things, probably took me 30min to get all 4 off :P

i prefer the look of the stock fenders uncut.
but, good job with the trimming.

I think the fenders and graphics are fuggin sweet but you need to pull the baffle out of the exhaust that makes it look like a wussy bike. Other than that nice R!

Cut fenders or no fenders is the only way to go...Im diggin it.How do u like the graffics?I seen one up close on an 06 and liked it but never talked to the owner.I'm thinking of getting it for my 06

it has the hrc kit, no baffle, what you see inside the hrc end cap is
the ama db thing. it holds the noise down a little, I took it out and raced my friend that I usually get by about 1/2 to 1 lenght and he started beating my by a nose. we raced about a dozen times each one super close (I usually win everytime unless I lift for wheelies or get a bum start)
its back in for good or until I get a slip on.
It must be the pic. I thought it looked uneven also but went out and used my wifes sewing tape (its cloth) and measured from about 6 different spots and its within a 1/16 everywhere.
Im taking it to deep water with the kids today so I may regret the fenders (always get muddy there).

MUFASA was the king beast in lion king (I have 4 kids)
my boy is calling his cr80 simba (dont sound as tuff)
it also looks like "mor fast a"
deep water was a mess, a ton of people and the track/trails are
soooooooooooo torn up and rough.
I could only find one jump and it was average at best with a terrable run at it (3rd gear was fastest I could get at it and that was dropping the front wheels 3 feet before the jump) I searched for 45 min to find the "new drag strip" and no luck.
