Air Box Mods

I HAVE A 05 450R AN WANT TO KNOW IF ANY ONE KNOWS OF ANY MODIFICATIONS YOU CAN DO 2 YOUR AIR BOX. I HAVE A FMF FACTORY 4 EXAUST AN A STAGE 1 JET KIT BUT I WANT TO PUT IN THE STAGE 2 BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO TO MY AIR BOX?

usually people cut a few round holes, one big square hole, or completely remove the lid.......try running a search on 'airbox' and see what you get........

a buddy of mine and my brother have cut the area out behind the air box, kind of the "tool" area or watever. and they dont run there lids.

basically just take your lid off....if you ride in wet places with big big puddles or creaks or something, i just run the stock air box set-up, a couple horses isnt worth the water inside your engine, but if your in a dry place removing the lid is just 2nd nature

just drill holes in it i did it works

^^^I'm sorry, but that looks ghetto. You need a bracket to hold the filter steady. If you have it there and I don't see it, I apologize.

no bracket but the hose clamps are good 'n tight so it wont pop off ive jumped it pulled on it and it wont budge or you can do this for more lowend i made a bracket but didnt have it on it in pic.

it gives massive lowend but no top end at all thats why i use the short one if you can come up with a brackett fr the short one heres a pic just post it in here or email it to me and ill make it
