Where can i buy a new HRC cam for my 04 450r?...besides like ebay..is there any aftermarket companies that sell em?

Rob, if you go to trx450r.org, I am pretty sure some of the vendors there split up the HRC kits and you can get the cam separate. You could also go onto servicehonda.com and try there.

BTW, if you remember, I was right next to you in both the 4 stroke C and Open C motos at the first race at jollys, #631 with the black 450r.

yea man i know exactly who you are. Thanks for the advice and help jus trying to get some motor mod ideas to stay competitive to the 06's. Not sure where to start or look into.

I just picked up an FCR carb on ebay, that should help on the low end. I got the HRC cam in there already, and that helps alot to rev the bike out quick. The next thing I am looking at is porting and piston, but like you I am not sure on the compression. I am in the same boat you are.....

I send the stuff out for machine work, but I do the install of all the stuff (piston, cylinder, head, cam) myself. Saves money and I think I know what I'm doing for the most part. ;)

I find it pretty easy to do most of this stuff as long as you have the manual (lifesaver).

BTW, do you have AIM? PM me with you name instead of using this thread for our convo. Hopefully someone else will chime in with some more help for us!
