I am doing a 300EX/250x woods racer just for fun, and possibly for the 2007 gncc sport class. what mods do you recommend?? Do you recommend getting a 250x frame or 300EX frame? I'd rather have electric start and I'm not sure if both motors have reverse. I figured I'd leave it up to the riders who know a hell lot more than I do on this quad.

I have these parts so far that I'm probably going to use:

450r parts:
swingarm, axle, brakestay, caliper, hubs, and linkage, durablue strut

400EX parts:
carb, front master cylinder, rear master cylinder, steering stem if it fits?, tierods, and my houser +1 a-arms

250r parts: front hubs, spindles, and calipers

I figured I'd get that shock relocation and run 400EX front shocks. Also I plan on fully gussetting the frame. I parted out my 400ex and have these parts left and figured I'd use them.

As for the rear end what do I have to do about the airbox if I run the 450r rear?

well, you can definatly put on the 450 swinger, and the 400 shocks. i think you need stock a-arms.

do it right and use 300ex parts instead of building another 300ex jerry rigged death trap

the 400ex steering stem will fit, but you have to cut the steering stops and the little washer thats welded halfway up the shaft off.
Not like thats a bid deal, cause all the aftermarket stems don't have steering stops anyway. BTW the 400ex stem is 1 1/2 inch taller.
