swingarm skid plate mounting bolt size

Anyone know what size bolts are supposed to be used to mount a swingarm skid plate? The idiot that owned this quad before me tried to used non-metric bolts in it (and everywhere else on the quad). He didn't get the bolts in all the way, so the thing rattles around. I know that I'm gonna have to tap the holes, so does anyone know what size they should be? length and diameter please.

BTW, it's a 2000 400ex.

All I know is that it is a size 12mm..

It's either m6x18, or m8x18......

I think they are the m8's.....

All I can tell you about is the heads.They are all 12mm except the one on the left side of the swingarm which is 10mm.If you still end up not being able to figure out the sizes pm me and I will go take them out and measure them.
