The bushing on my stock a-arms are starting to get some play in them. I have used the poly bushing on my old X and R and liked them very much. Looking in my parts book at the shop from some after market companies that we deal with they show no listing for the 400EX. The bushing from the 88-89 R look to be the same. Does any one know if the poly bushing for the 250R will work in the 400EX a-arms? I have a source for them for the 250, when I called them today they did not know if they would work. They even said that I was the first peoson to ask about bushing for the 400 a-arms. I find that hard to believe.

if you can buy one bushing, it might be worth a shot to just try it, then buy the rest if it does.

I just looked in the Nac's catalog and looked at the T.M. Designworks a arm bushings. They have two things listed, 1986 250R replica and then the rest are for 250R,250X, 300EX, 400ex. I think that means they are the same but maybe the 86 has different ones? Or maybe they have a different design for the 86 even though the other ones fit? I think they are all the same however since they don't list years except for the 86 replica.

Hope I helped.

go to atvbushings.com. I bought a set of these for my 250R. they are made out of urethane and are notched so you can install zerk fittings on your a-arms.

Looking in the James Lucky book online they show that they are different.

I looked on Troy Racing web site at the a-arms in the micro fish.
The COLLAR, FR. ARM PIVOT are different between the two quads.
The BEARING, SPECIAL (10MM) (IKO) are the same.

I am not sure which one you are talking about, but maybe this will help or you can go and look for yourself at http://www.yamahaoftroy.com/.

Thanks for looking up the 2. The bearing are the same, but the collars are different length it sounds like. Maybe this is why no one is putting 250R a-arms on the 400. Looks like I will have to bit the bullit and pay full retail from Helm for a set.
