My R is leaking right were the shaft for the sprocket goes into the engine. I am almost positive that the seal is bad. Is it possible to change that seal without splitting the cases?

I just went out and really looked hard and long at it and it looks to be just a seal that is pressed in ? Any help is appreciated! Looking to get an answer ASAP:)

This seal can be removed easily. Just make sure to replace the collar that rides on the seal also. This collar gets grooved really bad and just replacing the seal won't fix the problem.

Looks like your in luck Chris, I didnt think we would be able to change it. Sounds like you better order that seal, and get yourself a manual.

I see what you mean as Service Honda Micro Fiche is a little hard to follow! Looks to me that you need 91207-ML3-003 (Oil seal 28x40x8), 91201-430-003 (Oil seal 20x40x8), and if you need it 23225-430-000 (Collar 22mm). If I were you I would try a local bearing shop! In Canada we have CBS Bearings. I get all my bearings and seals there and save a bunch!(Like a quarter of the price that Honda wants). Just my two cents! Hope this helps!
