sory put in 400ex but havein clutch problems on 4 day old 450 is this normal?

anyone? when im shifting quick the clutch lags out causing me to red line through the gear

Explain more clearly. does your clutch slip????

it sounds like the cable is to tight. is there any play in the lever.

Yeah check that for sure. He's right there should be about 1/4" -1/2" play in the lever.
