Stock / Aftermarket A-Arms?

Im curious, I have a 400ex, and Im in the process of tearing it down to get various things powdercoated. I realize you cant powdercoat the stock arms for the simple fact the ball joints arent removeable. Is it possible to chrome them? If not, what do you guys reccommend for aftermarket arms that are the same specs as the stockers? Im not really interested into going wider with the stance of my quad, I dislike its turning radius as it is.

So, what are my options here?
