I have been working on fabing an aluminum airbox on the 300ex to fit the stock location with no cuting of the frame. You will be able to relocate your battrey into it to. It is in the testing stages right now and will be ready for production soon. This is no homemade peice of crap, it is top notch. I just made one for myself but can start producing more if there will be a demand for these. If you are interested hit me up. I can also make them with out the battery relocation to gain more air. Tell me what you think about this.

I have found that alluminum airboxed brake and cause problems. The weight of the battery brakes them. I have seen way to many people with broke alluminum air boxes.

Not if you build them to with stand the weight. The first box I built is still on my quad and has never broken or leaked and the ones that Im building now are way better then it.

I'd buy one for sure, if any reason than to keep my battery out of the wheel well and risk getting cracked by rocks(has happened to me twice). I wish they did that from the factory. Hell even my piece of crap 200sx has the battery under the seat.

Ok sorry it took so long before I got back to this. Been very busy. But here are some pictures of the prototype. I still have some more work to do on it but it will be soon when they are ready for sell. Dont mind the two small holes on the front intake side those are just for my setup. This box is very strong its made out of .220 noncrossive aluminum. They will come either polished or ruffed up ready for paint. There will be a built in battrey tray that will keep it fastened in place for those big air jumps. Also plan on making the lid better with an outerwear skin built in for more air flow. So tell me what you think.

Thanks for the kind words. I should have the finished prototype in about a week and then I will make the first production peice and mount it in for the testing. I will post up pics of the finished proto next week. I hope to have all of it finished and start cranking out the finished product by the end of July. If I wasnt so busy with work I would be able to put them out faster but the production parts will be faster because Im using cnc plasma cutters to punch them out.
