I am looking for some good skids for my 450r. I would like to know what every one is running and how they like them? Also how much did they cost and where to get them from? I have heard some good things about PRM. I would like to get skids for the entire frame ( swing, a a-arms, center etc). Thanks

i got my armadilo pretty cheap. It does the job and held great so far. I dont realli like the way they mount but dont no how the others are. IT got some dents in it but i hammerd them out.

I'm gonna go with AC all the way around. I've heard really good things about them too.

Hey Yurik, how did those AC skids bolt up for you? Did they give you a hard time at all? I've heard ppl say that the AC nerfbars are a PITA. Oh well, I'm gonna get the pro pegs with heelguards after I get a little more overtime.

Be carefully many after market skid plates aren't fitting on 06's.. The oil hole has been moved to the right on the 06....

bolted right up with no problem at all, my nerfs were a small amount of trouble, but AC products are great and well worth it

Pro Armor is the best. I have used PRM in the past, but i really like the Pro Armor stuff. The nerfs were a breeze the put on. I have had DG and AC nerfs before and hated them.

PRM or Pro Armor.. I had a Pro Armor on my 400ex and it was great, I have a PRM on my 450r and it is just as good, no problems out of either of them.

PRM for sure.I had a DG Baja .250 and tore it up really quick. Not to mention the PRM has unbeleivable ground clearance!

Same with my frame skid, easy as can be, but the nerfs on the other hand were a PITA but still well worth it. I have a PRM swingarm skid and the welds broke twice so I'm getting a stainless one made:macho

i use a natalies signature one from blingstar, mounts up really good, you did have to make new holes to drain the oil however!:(

all i can say is, NEVER BUY UM RACING!

they fit horribly!

the rear skid also has 0 ground clearance, i can hear it racking on everything i roll over on my trails!

also, both my chassis and rear skid came with no hardware, or the wrong kind:mad:

I agree, I had one on my 450 and it was useless. I made it about 20 yards into the woods and got hung up on a small rut. They are good for dunes but suck anywhere with rocks and ruts to get hung up on. Also I had an AC for my 250 and it was garbage. I have never had a problem with my .250 PRM and it bolted right up. Also it might sound stupid but if you are looking for the best ground clearance keep the stock one. If you think I'm joking here is a pic of Johnny Gallaghers race bike from last year.
