carb probably just needs cleaning.

make sure to get all the jets, the floats, needles, ect...

compressed air through the carb jets/float bowl/etc. :p (take it apart) - not too much pressure, either.

I TOOK THE CARB OFF TONIGHT AND CLEANED IT THE BEST I COULD. WHAT ADJUSTMENTS DO I NEED TO MAKE? WHERE IS THE ADJUSTMENT SCREWS?

U can screw the idle screw all the way in and it makes no difference.

make sure you cleaned the jets, if they don't get the needed fuel it simply won't idle. Also, drain the tank and shoot some air in the fuel line.... there could be some fuel restriction.

Just what i would do

is clean it which you have done that

make sure the air fuel mixture screw on the bottom is

2 1/4 turns out and adjust if needed

make sure the idle screw inside the carb is touching and having

a purpose i unscrewed mine and it had the same effect your explaing

and it was because of the idle screw not being as far needed to

have its purpose

if it pops its probably too lean. go up a couple mainjet sizes and see if that helps.

definately lean. float bowl/needle may be stuck.
