Some Very nice rides i here . Interesting to see that not many of you run front or Rear spacers . Possibly because longer A-arms are so much cheaper in the states , and because that is probably the better thing to do ?

Down here we gotta go for spacers , and that seems to run the bearings down front quicker .. :(

Those are Fullbore plastics...

The LTE Exhaust is great!!! I was probably one of the first to get one for the EX and had to mod a couple of things that have since been upgraded....

Power wise, it is better than the FMF, DMC, White Bros and Bills systems I've tried....It makes great torque and what I love the most is the mellow tone....It has a nice tone like a V-8 with Flow Masters vs the annoying Brrrrrrrrapppppppppppp the other systems make. Of course now most have quiet systems too, but this, I think breathes much better.....

I already had the powerbomb and I've put alot of seat time on it. I basically like it because it's different from alot of the headpipes available for the 400ex. The HP numbers between them are all pretty similar.

Heres a few pictures of the DMC afterburner pipe I just got. This is the quiet version. It's the same thing as their comp slip on with a quiet core in it, which is easily removable.

It sounds very good for being a "quiet pipe" this pipe runs around 96db.

Yup just maier plastics, no paint. i just bought the "stock replacements" and shaved them. that way i could ride it hard and not worry about scratching it cause it was never that pretty to begin with ;)

If your asking what suspension im runnin for FT/TT I run a full works brand shock setup Duel rates in the front.. Hey HotRod I run a circuit up here in Central Wi, and also a full Winter schedule Ice Oval. Lotta fun. And yeah, Them Hoosiers aint cheap...

Thats a Really Nice bike you have there .
Neat as a pin , I am busy trying to do the same thing , but Have unfortunately hit a stumbling block with the roll design arms .. The cost a frikkin FORTUNE down here in Sout Africa .
I retired the bike from racing , and now want to concentrate on sorting out the scrapes and scratches .
But you have an impressive machine .
I just hope that last pic wasn't of the inside of your garage - Holy crap !!

Thanks for the nice comment. I try to keep it clean even though it is getting older. That's cool you're all the way in south africa, how is the riding down there? Were you originally from the states?

The arms I actually got from a member here used about a month old. I agree man, they are so expensive new, but I ended up paying about half that. Put some new powdercoat and bushings/bearings and they're like new again. If you search on here and ebay you can find some sweet deals every now and then.

lol, that last pic is where I work in the summer but yea, it's huge! It used to be an RV service center so we have like 7 giant bays to store/work on cars.

you lucky *******- getting the arsm cheaper .trick of the trade i guess . I went on to E bay - fund fullflight for $399 plus shipping , also american star for same price .
One question though - +2 is width- +1 is ?? and what the hell does +2+1 UP mean ???They've lost me there . Anyhow - ON ebay fullflight is a full $165 Cheaper , so Im impressed . i spend a sh%t load on goodies for both the Vfr(I ahave a vfr800 Road bike -sweet....)and the quad .Spending close to $1400 for a damn weekend-warrior bike on A arms to look cool on the trailer is just ridiculous .This e bay thing was a pretty good idea .whatever you see on e bay times 8 .so 399=R3192 here . Compare that to R75 00 for the Laegers(which I agree are very good ) and it's an absolute No-brainer . What would you go for between the 2 I mentioned ? Americanstar I am told are pretty good-but so are the fullflights . so ??!!!????.I am also having trouble getting the ASV clutch lever -probably better to say the CABLE itslef - to work smoothly .aftermarket clutch cables ?? ummm..what else .Cant think of anything else at the moment .

Mods are in my sig. It was on the dyno that day to verify my A/F with the exhaust sniffer. It was stumbling bad at the track sure enough the A/F's were around 10.9-11.4.

As far as numbers this was done on an automotive dynojet so the HP/TQ and RPM data are way off. It only made 23 rwhp and 34 ft lbs turning huge drums haha. The spark reader on the dynojet also isn't setup for single cylinder motors, so my peak power is made at a whopping 3500 rpm :p I'd like to throw it on an ATV dynojet someday to see what it really makes.

I have an option of going +2 +1 , or just +2 with No forward figure .

Still trying to find what their products are like . The guy seems friendlyenough . I reckon he knows He's guaranteed of no return considering I am 7 000miles away !

The +1 forward changes the angle of the spindle. Look in the suspension and handling session and read the sticky at the top. This will answer your questions. I have +2 +1 JD Performance A-arms (off a 250r) and I love it, but this is also the only quad I've ever ridden with extended arms.

The 1 inch forward places the center line of the front wheels 1 inch further forward than they used to be. So essentially your front tires will be 1 inch further away from your rear tires creating a longer wheelbase. A longer wheelbase is more stable than a really short one like on a Yamaha Blaster for instance. Keep in mind, that when you go 1" forward, your weight bias gets shifted. Many people accompany this setup with a 1 1/4 longer swingarm to get back to the stock weight bias.

As for the Fullflight arms, I have heard mixed reviews on here. Some say they are not worth a darn unless you buy them with all the upgraded joints/bushings. There are the standard sets that have crappy joints/bushings that wear out fast and there are the sets that have upgraded components that are more expensive. I would read up about them on here before you go ahead and pull the trigger on them.
