a little story.
theres this jump in Okeechobee florida that is oooo 40-50 feet.its a 4th pinned kinda jump. i came a little short, threw me over the handelbars and dragged me for 30 feet. holy crap. i have never been in a crash and thought " ok lets stop now, not again, STOP" lol i tried to get up and fell on my face. but i was ok.. very scratched up. this happed saturday.. the 8th. but dont worry i did it again afterwards and then called it a day.

yep, YFZ shocks. love them (compared to stock anyways!!)

the scoops are the fender extensions that came with the maier plastics; i just fabbed up some brackets to mount them with. the scoops are still a work in progress, got a few finishing touches i'll be making too them soon.

i used high temp grill paint on the motor, but primed it with etch primer first (the key to painting aluminum).

a few friends and i went riding before our senior prom 5 years ago and we found a huge pile of abandoned stuffed animals.. i picked up elmo and he has been in there for years.. till i got an IMS bumper :p . we usually go there or in a couple cases we headed down to little sahara. BRF is close to us as far as nice trails go. they're groomed nicely for quads and we're usually the only ones on the trails. i really prefer clark county over BRF during the summer because they're less traveled, and not a freaking race track. they also have some fun intensive use areas where you can do whatever you want. definitely worth it during the winter. brandon and my dad have 4 snows, but my klaws work fine with how low they have it groomed. its a good time. sorry for stealing the thread :) :scary:

It took 10+ hrs to do the art, and another 5+ to install the 3M.:eek2:

BRF and Hatfield are like 30min. from my house. We ride the Jackson county and clark county trails all the time. But I do prefiere Jackson county better, clark is just mostly all gravel road running.

Its actually paint believe it or not. I don't mind redoing the frame every few years for the cost savings over pc. It used to be blue which held up pretty decently. I used Dupli-Color metal specks in what I believe is called "retro red".

Wow. Thats an awesome paint job, I can't do that good. I have a guy near me that will charge me $180 for a speckled black frame including sandblasting....i thought that was a good price....plus, if i spray painted, im so sloppy that i would ding it all up when i start putting it all back together...

Yeah I mean it's not for everyone. You really have to watch out if you spill gas or when you are using the powerwasher. if you want it to be easy and never think about it twice type of thing...then definately go with the powdercoat.

new to the forum and couldn't find a place to introduce my self so i figured this would have to do.

my wheeler is and 01 400ex. pic of it of course. in the pic its a 406. the 406 decided it didnt want any bolts to hold the timing gear to the cam so when that let lose it was a mess. i found a 440 basket case on craigs list for 300 bucks. its been a slow build so far. i will probably start a build thread some time. hers some pics.

Yeah, I just found those front tires (23's lol) for a good deal so I went ahead and bought them. Kind of regret it cause they kind of take away from the cornering ability of it. The front shocks are HLS and that's just the way I had them set up... But yeah I really like the yellow and black too, hopefully get the frame and swingarm done in black this winter...
