The YFZ kit still needs 2 gussets for the rear frame if you get a chance to add them to your kits

Chino-
I'll make you a deal, you donate $75 to our research and development of new products, and we will donate a set of 450R gussets to your project (which is great looking by the way). We are happy to offer our kits at these great prices, but to continue to improve and expand our line, we have to have some money for R&D.

Pappy-
Thanks for the pics! Glad to hear things worked out on the kits. We have been extensively researching and testing ideas for the YFZ to improve upon our kits. Id love to talk to you about it, give me a call when you have a free second, 765 744 0320

Thanks everyone!

I will try and give you a call this afternoon when I return from town. The 400ex kit was spot on, and the YFZ is very close, it will depend on the factory welds if you will have to true up teh gussets but that is normal. I prefer to buy your kits over cutting out my own, they are probably the best bang for the buck on the market.

The ugly gussets that happen when you don't get bare performance

its when you weld pieces of steel or metal (not sure) into the weak spots of the frame. It will keep it from cracking, breaking, bending, you name it. Hey Matt, do you guys have any plans for making one for the 300EX? I know alot of people say that their is no sense in hardly modding these, but on the Youth production MX class, these things are everywhere. Please Let me know. No hurry at all though.

I had bought a kit for a z400 that was for one of my customers and when i went to install it the fit wasnt quite right. All of the big gussets went in well and looked great but the two lower tubes that go in between the lower frame rails where the a arms mount were too short and i had to fill it with my weld. Also the two up by the steering stem post were cut wrong and didnt fit that well. Your kit is very affordable and nice, but were those few problems fixed or was it just my order.

300ex's are fun quads, and you can make one pretty fast.

Sorry for the late response to your post, I didnt get a notification when you posted...Anyways, the tubes have to be cut by hand while the flat stock is all done on the laser. This leaves room for the human error element. We get them as accurate as possible but there is a little room left for weld. Because it fits between two tubes, there has to be room left for it to fit.

Give us a call if you have any other questions, thanks.

-Matt
