Im looking at gettting one of the quiet pipes. Are the yamaha ones good or does someone make a better one? I would think yamaha would know how to make a pipe for a bike they designed. I dont really care if another pipe give it an extra 1/10th of a horsepower. Let me know. Thanks

Ours made ok power, but... it is in pieces now. Basically just fell apart.

I had 2 of them and like stated earlier... they both fell apart :( . They made descent power but in terms of durability, they're a POS.

how do your pipes "fall apart?" rivets and welds break or what?

They are decent pipes. Especially for mx. I had one and the allen bolts fell out. I replaced them and it held together great. Pro Aluminum makes them for Yamaha. You can get them through them for $50 cheaper. They are great pipes if you are ona budget. Better than the White brothers E series.

I'm going with one of the Pro Aluminum ones, I'm on a super tight budget and need more out of my quad before the next race.

The core inside broke letting the pipe colapse (sp) into itself. The straps it mounts with also had some issues.

A gytr was my first choice unil I found the DR. D system. It's quiet enough and makes good power. Dubach is good to work with also.

I'm all about HMF, but if a quiet pipe is what you want, go with Dr. D. My buddy's girlfriend has one. Not too loud and gives out good power. I think you can get one from RSP Concepts for about 230 shipped.

I'd go for the Dr. Dubach pipe with the quiet core. I have the regular slip-on and it makes good power while still being relatively quiet.

Someone I've ridden with before has the GYT-R pipe and it's held up great and it makes good power. I don't think he plans on replacing it anytime soon.

I thought only the carbon fiber GYTR pipes fell apart? I like the looks and sound of them..The regular aluminum GYTR pipe falls apart?

i have GYT-R titanuim full i love it.....it's loud clean and gives good power...if i have to re-pack it once a year i will...i have over 100 hours on it and it still sounds, looks, and provids great power. i would recomend GYT-R TITANUIM pipes to anyone.

I've had my GYT-r slip on for over a year and haven't had any problems besides my spark arrestor rattling around and eventually getting wedged in crooked. My bike rips compared to sum other YFZs I've rode w/ pipes. I've been rear ended plenty of times during GNCCs and shes still holdin up. No complaints here...

i've had a GYT-R pipe for about a year and a half now and the only probs ive had are a few of the bolts working their way loose, and the rubber underneath the brackets tearing up. other than that, no complaints (yet)
