i read in a dirtbike magazine that the 2007 crf 450 might be fuel injected. so maybe the 2008 450r might be fuel injected also? seems that the manufactures usually make changes every two years or so, unless there is a major problem.

i heard that all the 450 dirtbikes for next year will be fuel injected, as in honda, yamaha, suzuki, kawasaki.

Are they making the 2-strokes more efficient to pass the new emissions laws (such as fuel injection), or are they going all 4-stroke like quads?

you haven't heard? they discontinued the 450r's a few days ago. The 06's are the last ones being made. there were way too many lawsuits all over again like with the 250r's.

Two strokes aren't going away due to tighter emissions regulations, that for sure. Take a look at what Rotax is doing for Bombardier. Their new p-tek engines are the only 2-strokes that meet the next round of reductions and their efficiencies are as good as most 4's so it can be done. Not sure what Honda and others are doing, but I hope they continue developing 2-stroke technology as well.

the Japanese factory riders already have fuel injected Honda and Yamaha 450's.... so i look for fuel inj. in the 07 bikes, and i'm sure it's possible to see it on the quads in 07 as well...
