Sorry this probably has already been posted but I thought it was pretty cool. I think it's just a glorified engine stand, but think of riding something like that!

Yep, they are radial aircraft engines from http://www.rotecradialengines.com/ . 110 horse 7 cylinder and 150 horse 9 cylinder engines from Austrailia. They have used them on a few airplanes listed on the site. The engines look huge sittin on the bike, but are actually pretty small in the world of radial aircraft engines.

That would be cool if there was a place for your feet.

Radial engines shake like hell. Atleast the old ones did. Only got a couple hours in a twin engine Grumman goose with original spec radials. It shook like hell when those puppys were cranking

But them puppy's shure sound good!:D Can't beat the sound of a radial. But I had a P-51D Mustang do a low-level flyby right above me and those sound pretty good too!

They have a very distinct sound, the best had to be the B-17G that I saw though. A wall of noise is the best way to describe it.

motorcycle V-twin engines were/are actually derived from airplane engines. the motorcycle V-twin is just 2 of the 45 degree opposed cylinders taken out of the airplane engine.:eek2:
