can someoe tell me the avrage price of racefule ?

ive been doing rc cars for years, i got into nitro over a year ago, and when i lived in hawaii was stabbed with 30 dolors a gallon, now i pay about 24 or so on avrage here,

i was shocked reading another thread, someone saying how expensive race fule for our bikes are, he mentioned something like 6 bucks a gallon ?

im sorry but WHAT? what octane is that? how much more can you go ? price and all ?
i truly belive im being ripped off to **** and back now.
its just fule mixed with caster oil and 30% nitromethane on avrage.

i dont see why im paying the price i do,
i dont want to run high octane in my bike when i mod it because of the pain of only being able to use that fule on that bike, but damn, for 6 bucks a gallon thats allmost worth it, because thats cheap for the hp gains from the high compression piston and fule if you ask me.

here in Vegas it is about $4/gal at the pumps (usually unocal 101), $5/gal if you buy a 55 gal drum, & $7/gal for a pail (both VP c12).

what about higher octanes like 110 ?
i know its hard to compare 2 totaly different fules, but i dont see why it has to cost so much. its a honest rip.

I run B-32 race fuel. It has a 118 octane rating, and I get it at the local gas station (special pump) for $4 a gallon.

I can buy some Cam 2 fuel (110 - 114 octane) for $2.50- $3.00 a gallon. I have heard of it as cheap as $2 per gallon. :eek:

c12 is 108. Go with the stuff others have mentioned. I think that VP is one of the more expensive fuels.

i pay 3.65 for torco 110, 4.75 for torco 112 and 3.75 for cam 2 110

the last time i got race gas, which was saturday, i paid $3.19 and i believe its cam2. i know its 110. but i mix it 50/50 with 92-93.

Around here (Medford, Oregon) its called Trick (114 octane) and runs $4.50 a gallon.

I pay $5.50/gal. for vp-c12, 108 octane. I know I'm getting ripped but it's the only local source.

how can you get race gas if NO ONE around you for 60 miles sells it? does anyone ship it? i dont want a 55 drum, but maybe 20-35

I get Unocal 110 for $4.25, but we pay more for gas in general in the socialist republic of California....

timewass do u have any drag strips, or race tracks around u? if u do sometimes u can go there, or ask the guys there. u can even check some of ur local gas stations. but usually the bigger gas stations dont really carry it as often, its more the mom and pop ones that do.

76 Competition 110 is 26.99 for 5 Gal. in these parts
