i put my motor back together with the 426 kit and a stage 2 cam and all that, and its leaking a little oil from the base gasket, looks like im gonna have to take it all apart again:( could i have not tightend the cylinder bolts enough? im gonna add some gasket maker to the gasket

did you put a new o-ring on the bottom of the cylinder? There is almost zero pressure there so it's really rare you get one that leaks from there.

I haven't used JB Weld but from what i've read about it I don't think that is a good place to use it. Would you like to remove the cylinder someday?

not really... i was thinkin of using some extra gasket maker like below100hz said but i was thinking the alumnum putty would be a bit stronger. Ive also noticed the leak has slowed down a little bit, could it be leaking just because its new?
