This is my first rebuild. A huge thanks to fellow racer/friend ZSK for helping me get the wiring and some other misc stuff back together. Another monumental thanks to my cousin Mark for his advice and guiding hand. A big thanks to my brother for holding my nuts .... and bolts and getting me wrenches, and listening to me lose my mind. Thanks for the rider support from Angie @Hiper for my wheels and to Laz @GT Thunder for my suspension setup. Well without further adeu here's my hard earned money on display.

looks good but teh rebel flag seat looks out of place. not to add a little red to make it blend better.

That is the best lookin XC 400ex I have seen. Is that a Maier hood, I thought they were only available in red, white, and black for the 400ex. :confused: How do you like that shock set up? Are those TCS built by Laz?

Yeah, they are TCS built by laz. the shock setup is great and laz is a great guy to deal with.
that is a maier hood, they do not have blue listed on their site, but yet it is available if you call them.
Thanks for the compliment!! When you're doing a full rebuild you wonder if your vision will come together.

Dude by far one of the best ex's i've seen in a while dude... I love how the hipers, frame, and powermadds and all have blue and go so good together.. Some advice though, is get rid of seat cover, or as stated below get a G-Kit that goes with it... And also P/C that bumper blue, and it will look awesome... But dude that is sick keep it up.
yes, that ex is a great looking bike, you really outdid yourself;) ... makes me jelous of the bike and I have a 450R decked out and I love my 450R:macho .. I agree with everything you did EXCEPT... 2 things...
1) rebel flag has GOTS to go dude :grr:
2) graphic kit looks needed or maybe just some stickers to cover up all that black..

Calm down guys.I dont think the rebel seat cover is going to start another civil war.:rolleyes: I would say more but I dont like to start trouble.Just put it this way...around my "parts" it is looked at differently then around yours must be.

Everything nowadays is pretty much racist.I know there are people against whites so you arent the only one.They shouldent get kicked off for it if you want express that your mad you have the right but I have just learned to get along with people no matter what so I was just trying to set things straight.The guy was showing us his quad and I think it is sweet btw.I think you do have to ditch the flag though just because it sticks out like a sore thumb.Besides that though its sweet and if you like it good I am glad.Nice job!
