400ex valve cover gasket

i just bought a cometic top end gasket kit can i reuse the old valve cover gasket or do i need a new one

I had the same problem.As long as you have the original metal gasket then it should be fine because I just put it back in when I rebuilt my engine.Mine hasent had a problem yet.;)

You should be able to reuse it but when I did mine it had a very small leak so I replaced it:ermm:

mine cost me about 25 bucks....i ended up re-using mine but i still have my 25 dollar one just in case:)

i bought mine from the local dealer, but an ebay one would probably be much cheaper, make sure to get name-brand or oem dont skimp, top-end gaskets are important:)

clean iit up real good with brake parts cleaner, then lay it on a flat surface and tap it flat with a small hammer. it will reseal fine. if you are worried about it then use spray on copper coat on it. you can get copper coat at any auto parts place.
