hey i was just wondering if you guys could tell me how i no when my piston rings r going? and what does it take to fix it? also is there a certain amount of time the rings an piston last or is it how hard u ride it? thanxs

most replace often due to racing because they can't afford a failure. i have ran mine for two seasons before i re-ringed it with no problems. alot depends on what you are after. some run them till they start to burn oil.

Ya.. When you see blue smoke comin from your exhaust, you know your burning it and its time for new ones.

sounds like me:chinese: i need a rebuild and the way i knew is it was burning oil(blue smoke) and then i did a leek teast and it was 30% leakage. so if u think u want to know for sure just bring it to ur dealer and they can do a leak test.

if the rings are broken is there a ticking wen tryin to start?? if not wat is the cause of ticking??

could be valve adjustment, or you timing chain has stretched out and needs replaced.
