My 06 426 build

I just finished putting my 400 back together this weekend...

Now all i have to do is put my new rims and tires on and my new air scoops on this week.... I am planning on getting white maier racing plastics with a carbon fiber hood.

It doesn't cost too much to do a engine build when you do a lot of the work yourself. I raced a stock 06 450R right after i finished building the engine. I hadn't even jetted the carb or bought a rev box when i raced him... He got the jump on me just because i hadn't done much dragging before, but in 3rd and 4th i walked him down and 5th left him.... But i also have a stage 2 cam


As i said i am looking for suspension, i am thinking about getting 450R front shocks!

look on ebay or on here for some good deals...all together you will prolly spend about $350 on parts and gaskets then about another $80 for the bore job ...so all total about $450 then do the work yourself.

i bought mine from a member on here and he sold me the stage II cam and the wiesco 426 piston for 225 shipped to my door. Then i paid 60 for the boring of the cylinder... about 35 for some gaskets...

Im still tryin to find out why people dont buy FULLBORE racing fenders.. I bought a whole plastics front and rear for about 474.00... I know Maeirs are like 375 but fullbore looks 3 times as good and much more shine... black full fenders will put that 400 to its level... blue will also look good for fenders..

they are supposed to help cool the engne, i guess nobody really knows if they work or not... AT least they look cool! LOL

looks good, did u go with a heavy duty rod? im about to put in a 416 and either a 12:1 or 11:1 piston, but im not sure if i will need a rod, or stronger studs or what not...

and is that sparks stainless or ceramic?

nope the only thing you have to do is get you cylinder honed out to fit the piston. The only one you need studs for is a 440. My sparks is a ceramic coated X-6!

How's the sparks pipe???
I can get one for cheaps, but I want bottom and top end. I was told that the sparks pipe is only top end. Do you get more bottom too???

I love my sparks, it is all around good pipe. You could get the Sparks X-4 instead of the X-6. It is for the lightly modified engines...

Why do you want to take off fast? MX or what, you could just drop a tooth on your sprocket

I ride on trails so I want to keep my top speed but I also want power on tap. I also like lugging it instead of revving it.
