I have a buddy that I ride with that has a Yamaha. His riser for his upgraded bars have holes to relocate the neutral and reverse lights. I cant seem to find the same type of set up for my 05 400ex. Can someone maybe either let me know if anyone makes them and if so make a reccomendation. I posted this in the past and most people were telling me to cut the lights into the plasstic and a few other things that I didnt want to do to my brand new bike.. Thanks

I'm pretty sure Trail Tech makes a new clamp that has holes for relocating the neutral light and key. Don't hold me to it but there has been some discussion of this on here recently.

I just looked at Trail Tech's website and they do make a clamp for 400EX's, but only for 1 1/8" fatbars, not standard 7/8ths.

Trail Tech clamp (http://www.trailtech.net/xbar_clamps_1.htm)

Ok I see the link, can you tell me what the differences between the two different bars would be? Is there an advantage to one over the other? I guess I never thought about bigger bars. Do the taper down for everything to bolt on?

By the way, what did you do with your lights and ignition on yours???

Bigger bars are stronger (thicker wall construction) and don't have a crossbar pad. It's really up to you whether or not you want to go with bigger bars.

I didn't have to do anything with my lights cause I have an '04 which is the last year of the old body style. My lights and ignition are attached to the front plastics.

You can kind of see the light and key above the headlights in this picture.

With the bigger bars are there any problems attaching the clutch lever, front break, light controls and grips? If not I would have no problems with the bigger bars and that link you sent me would work perfectly...
