well i haven't been riding in 6 months, and don't really have the time to any more, but i still want something to ride at my house cause i have a small track and really like the idea of having a 50. so should i do it? my 300ex is an 01 so i know i couldn't get to much, but i could get enough to get a 50.

why? if ur riding in ur back yard dont worry about reliablity. the only thing that id see holding u back is noise if u have neighbors

I'd say go with a CRF 50 or you could go with one of the knock offs like the Thumpstar, BXM, RCM, Xtreme107 or 125....these companies make some decent knock offs...but there's nothin like the real thing..i had a klx110 and traded it for my CRF50..i'd so much rather have my 50 to ride around on....well except for my quad..but for riding around your yard a 50 with suspension would be great.

the 110 would be a lot faster, especially if made to a 120 etc, and 50's are a loooot smaller.

thats exactly why i don't want one. i get *****ed at the way it is. i like the smallness of the 50, i think thats what makes them fun. i think i'll just go with one of them. is there any knock offs that are good? i heard there is one thats parts are completely interchangable with the crf 50? any truth to this?

i think they are pretty decent, a lot of the parts are swappable, but i feel the most reliable 50's are the hondas. I have an 04 CRF50 with an 88 kit and manual clutch and i love it, its been really reliable too...do a search on ebay or check out planetminis.com or 50riders.com there are always 50's for sale on those sites. If you are interested in a knockoff i can help you out there too.

i had a KLX 110...they are too big for what i like to do...and i'm 6'5! if your going to be running mainly a track 110's are decent, but if you wanna do a track, ride trails, hit bmx jumps and ride mountain bike single tracks, get a 50!...they are an all around bike.

i forgot pappy was running a motor from and Xtreme...talk to him see what kind of deal he can get on those..they are a nice bike also

Thats to bad your in Oklahoma I have a 2003 xr50 that has all kind of bolt ons. I bought my 2005 drz 110 and that 50 has not seen the dirt sence. 110's are way better IMO, but the 50's are way cheaper.
