I found a set of 450 A arms w/ factory resevoir shocks with 8hours ride time on them on ebay. It says they will bolt up to a 400ex also. I know the 400ex arms will bolt to a 300, and that you can use a 450r factory shock with them. Atleast that is what people on here are telling me to do, so im inclined to believe it. So will the 450 a arms bolt up to the 300 or not?

450r a arms will not bolt up to a 300 or 400. The 450r shocks will bolt up to the 300 with the relocator. There was a kid on here who did put 450 a arms on his 300 but he did have to do some cutting and welding. Let me see if i can find a pic.

i tried bolting a set of 450r a-arms to a 400ex.the control arm bolts are wider on 450r then 400ex,and a 300ex.they do make a kit for 400ex to 300ex.i installed it on my old 300ex.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Im tryin to upgrade my 300 A arms without havin to pay 4-500$ A couple guys on here told me to use 400 a arms and 450 shocks, that it would all bolt up with no problems. So maybe i will go that route. Thanks again

The 400ex a arms, and 450r shocks will work. You need to buy the relocator that raises your top shock mounts about 3 inches for it to work though....I'm sure if you do a search on here you can find somone that is selling one on the site, but if not I know ebay has them.

Does the top shock relocator bolt on or weld on? Ive heard that the bolt on shock relocators arent good to use if you do any jumping.

They are bolt on. I'm racing with one right now and haven't had one problem with it. I'm running the Diamond J Customs one off ebay....

Yea I asked about those kits in here before and someone said not to get them if you MX because they are a bolt up kit. I have been eyeing them up for a while now.

I say go ahead and get it. I don't see much that can go wrong with them if you race MX. I race MX and it has held up just fine. I haven't had one problem with it.

Well I also trail ride, I guess I can give them a try and see how they hold up.
