Ok, well since i got a ton of good info out of the thread i started about speed, im gonna give this one a whirl also.
Im a heavier rider, 220lbs, and the most kind of riding i do is small track and yard riding with medium to larger home made jumps, and my main problem is that it feels like the quad is landing like a tank when i come down.
I know i should probably just buy a set of elkas or any other compareable shock, but i just cant afford that tag, and am looking for a cheeper solution to my problem.
Is there any less expensive upgrade to the stock shock loads? i was considering 450r shocks but wasnt sure that they would help me out any, do they make a large difference upon landing........
what are, if any, my options. Is there any way to just purchase a spring with a larger pound rating.... or any kind of helper springs i can put inline wiht my current ones.....
thanks
oh yea, i have a 2005 400ex.
