Ok. so what is the point. I know all that stuff will make a 300ex faster. I could just spend the money on a 400ex.

in some states, you cant race 400s until ur lie 17 or something like that...im not familiar with the race laws but thats what i hear..

I see. I wasn't being a dick or anything, and beleive me, if anyone loves the 300ex, it's me, but i just don't think they make good MX quads. By the time you replace all the suspension, and build up the motor, it would cost you more than to just buy a used 400ex, and it would only be on par with a stock 400ex.
The 300 is a trail quad, through and through.

if you race and ur under 16 you cant race a 400, so it makes sense to upgrade

I never under understood those stupid rules. You should be able to race whatever you're comfortable with.

It's to prevent a spoiled 10 year old from hoping on a 450r and killing himself. This was a very common problem when the 250r was out, also prevents lawsuits.

What retard parent would let a 10 year old on a 450R? They would get exactly what they deserve if you ask me. My daughter is 8 years old and she makes me paranoid riding her kymco 50 around, and that thing only goes 15 MPH
