What bendable tubing are you talking about?

I'd think you'd need a pipe mandrel and well honed welding skills to make an exhaust system that would come close to performing like what is commercially available.

If the root of your question has to do with making an exhaust system for a custom application (hybrid?), than I'd guess you'd be happiest with having a pro make something for you. Maybe start with a system orignally designed for that engine and modify it where necessary.

That's just my take though. If you think you want to give it a try don't let my comments discourage you. Pretty sure you can buy tubing that has been pre-bent with mandrel.

if you get the proper piping you could use a pipe bender.... they wont crease the pipe, then can bend it nicely... you will need to flare out the ends so it may connect to the muffler clamps.

or you could buy a $400,000 CNC bending machine like in my shop! j/k i really dont know of any other way to bend pipe except for like the pipe benders plumbers use.
