I'm new on working on small engines or any engines for that matter:confused: and I would like to get my sons atv running right. Problem is, it starts fine- just replaced battery- idles fine- cleaned carb and re-adjusted screw and replaced fuel with proper oil fuel mixture- but when it takes off it acts as though it is starved for fuel as I am full throttle and its revving high but moving very slowly - it takes a lot of throttle just to go anywhere. I have read forums and it seems like perhaps I need to replace fuel filter, my other thought is it could be transmission related? If anyone has any ideas I would be greatly thankful and so would my son!!!! Thanks all.
