View Full Version : after market rear shock??

So i just purchased a rear custom axis shock for my 400EX and i was just wondering where everyone put there rezzy. Some pics would help out a lot too. Thanks.

If I remember correctly Custom Axis remote reservoir lines are not very long. Depending on how long it is, you can run in along the frame right up underneath the plastics and mount it along there, or take it all the way to the front uprights where it will get air flow. I remember someone saying though that the Axis lines aren't as long as Elka lines, so that probably won't work. I don't have a picture of it but someone I ride with has his rezzie mounted to the rear subframe below/next to the battery.

These are elkas, but same theory applies, you can see it just behind the front bumper

if the line isn't long enough to do that a lot of people mount it on the subframe, opposite side of the exhuast

I just mounted mine on my 400. I ran the hose up the left side of the quad and the curved it back once i got to the steering stem and mounted it on the right side. Just in front of the engine head. the adjustment is still accessable while riding.
