aight im gonna try to do this. i got the motor out of a 90s model yamaha 600. just got it out tonight. i havn't got the frame to put it in yet. i cant deside what i should put it in. i know a raptor would be a good choice but im gonna have a hard time finding a frame for that. ive found a 400ex frame for cheap that im thinking about using. i didn't reliaze how big this motor was untill i got it out, but ill make it work. has anybody else done this? whats the hardest part about doing it? i dont plan on doing anything with it but taking it to the strip and just ridin it around the fields. is there any websites i can go to to look at some pictures of ones thats been done?

you could prob use a banshee frame, or a ds650. i know there have been alot of conversions with ds650 frames, but you would probably want a bigger motor

I had a friend put a 500 twin Yamaha street bike motor in a quad and the carbs were not deisgned to handle an off road ride. But on a smooth suface the quad was pretty fast once he got the sprocket sizes right.

I have a video of a 400ex with a 750 sport bike engine in it....so it is possible. I have also seen a 1200 in a quadzilla frame. Maybe that would be a good setup to check out.

In the June edition of dirtwheels, there is a Hayabusa that has been converted to a four wheeler. There is also a picture of another banshee frame with the 1300cc motor in it.

I own a 2005 Gsxr750, that motor in a quad frame =WTF! I also want to try this sometime down the road. Definitly dont have the funding for it now as im in the market for a car.

It would be nice to find a wrecked 1000 or sumthin like that for the motor.

These are my engine builders quads, quite possibly the cleanest conversions I've ever seen they look factory even in person.

Anyone remember that video of the DS650 with a Hayabusa 1300 engine in it on ebay? That thing was nuts, and was clean as hell.

Not much better but you can see the front. The rear is through the swing-arm pivot bolt.

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Da8GP73JEn8"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Da8GP73JEn8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

its a 600+hp turbo busa in a banshee frame. you can read all about it on planetsand. basically, its the fastest hillshooter atv in the world. just so you know, he hits 106mph on this hill....the triple cyclinder badazz banshees onyl hit around 86 on it.
