im going to see a wolverine that needs 2 seals on the driveshaft tomorrow and they guy has the kit ready to install, it has all new bearings and all that junk, but I was just wondering what's involved in replacing this driveshaft seal... It's only XXXX bucks and I can turn around and sell it for a bangload more, so anyway it will be a good play bike for now but i'd like to put the new seals in before hand, so any help appreciated thanks!

is there a place online I can see how it looks so I can get a mental preperation for it?

Your not really getting a deal, 1800 is what a 97 Wolverine SHOULD go for, in mint condition at that.

Not around here. A 1996 sells for 3500 dollars. a 2004 YFZ sells for $7000+

And I checked ATVTRADERONLINE.COM searching the entire US from one from 1000-2000, not a single Result.

Regardless of what the quad should sell for 1800 for a 97 is way too much. They are small cheap machines that are a dime a dozzen. I wouldn't pay more than 1200 for one that year if everything worked, and a little less for it needing that work. They are fun and reletively reliable machines though.

I've yet to see one for 1200, let alone 1800. So with that aside, I think I have a pretty good mental image of the seals - it looks quite easy, and it shouldn't take me too long, I will try to work him down a little, but whatever... I don't got all the time in the world to go around bargain hunting, for 1200 dollars it'd be a pretty big pieca sh...

The prices up here is the way it is and there's nothing I can do about it... the only thing 1200 will buy you is a friggin MOTO4 that's beat to snot!

up here 2500 dollars buys you BUGGER ALL!

Have you owned one? My wolverine never gave me 1 problem.

No I've never had one, but one of my friends does. I think his is a 94. It's just been beat on and it hasn't given him any problems. The oil probably hasn't been changed in 2 or 3 years, and when I went to get it running after sitting all winter we just toped off the oil with some penzoil that was sitting in his garage.
