No. Bolt it on, adjust your chain, and go.

The only thing I can thing of that is even close to what you "herd" ;) is that a rev box will give you a higher redline which can help you get your top speeds for each gear (especially the lower gears) back up to where they were with the stock gearing. And rev boxes typically also advance your ignition timing.

yea they said something about a rev box.. but will the 14t be a big difference? will it be noticable?

Yes, you should feel the difference.

Put mine on there and could really tell a dif. in the first 3 gears... You'll lose a little top end, but nothin to bad.

is the top end loss noticable? does the bottom end gain make up for it?

Ya man you can notice a dif. on top end when your topped out in 5th, but thats it.. And ya the bottom end is great, you'll def. tell a dif. there.

I noticed a big change in 1st gear... tons of power but realllly short... same for 2nd gear too. I dont ever use 1st gear anymore. I keep my 15t in my toolbox and depending on where im riding I swap them out. only takes about 5 min

1) take the front sprocket guard (and case saver if you have one) off

2) loosen the four bolts on the rear of the swing arm and turn the axle carrier to loosen the chain.

3) remove the 2 bolts from the front sprocket and remove it

4) put the front sprocket into the chain and bolt it back in place

5) do the reverse of steps 1-3

it's really easy. The hardest part I had was loosening up the axle carrier. Spray it down good on the ends with WD-40 and DON'T FORCE IT!!! It will crack.

Good Luck and enjoy the torque from it. I dropped to a 14 when I put on 22" rears...wasn't enough for me (with those tires), so now I'm sticking a 13T on my quad on Tuesday.
