Drastic Decrease in 400EX Value

WOW. The 400ex has sure dropped in price (used market). Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm comparing to what they sold for one year ago...

It's on the net really, Locally they sell pretty good..

IMO selling quads on the net is absolutely pointless, it's a bunch of kids that dont have money that want stuff for nothing.

I figure now that the Sport quad market has taken off and there's so much selection out there, and everyone's hungry for stock power, that they just decide to go with a Raptor 700/YFZ/450R/LTR450/etc.

I traded mine in on my street bike and they gave me 3,100 and it was in the blue book for like 2,000 i think. SCORE

I pretty much came to terms with the fact that im never going to sell my 440 because it would be like throwing money away. Around here you can get around 4-4.5k for a MX 440 though. Still isn't worth it though

What I like is that usually when you buy a used 400EX it comes with lots of extras, sometimes expensive shocks, and they're still from $3k-$4k.

same here, I wont ever get rid of my 400ex. My logic is this year Im keeping up with the big boys alright in MX. I got a 4th yesterday in the first moto. Then later this year I will hopefully get a 450 of some sort. If I learn on a slower bike, onece I get a faster one I should blow doors on them.
