Riding for 8 Hours and I only burnt 2.5 gallons of gas

Not to bad. I figure that out of the 8 hours 6 was probly spent riding and 2 were probly spent sitting around talking and taking pics. But What does everyone else seem to get out of a tank of gas? This is With a jetkit and full exaust.

whats your main jet? i bet its around 125 like mine. my friends with 180's go threw a lot more gas then I do on rides all day long

I went through 15 gallons in 2 days of dunes and spent alot of time goofing off at camp. I have hrc and pro design w/ outerwear

At the last desert race, our total time was just short of 7 hours. The quad was running pretty much non stop during this time, used up just under 12 gallons of gas. My race quad only gets about 20 miles to the gallon, and the engine just has minor mods. (11.5:1 piston, mild porting, cam, pipe.) It also depends on how hard you ride and how hard you are on the gas.

I also noticed that my friends stock 400ex and my other friends KFX400 with a 440kit will both run out of gas before i even need to put mine on reserve. Im still yet to have to use reserve cuz there always running out first so we head back.

I do ride longer between fill-ups on the 450r than my old 250r but the 2 strokes are not as efficient and the tank on the 450 is larger

Thats what I was thinking. I run a 190 main in mine and its still very good on gas.

I have a 190 main and raced at Loretta's for 2:38 mins on stock tank, I had none left but I made it across the finish line:blah: I wasnt running hard tho:ermm:
