Where the hell does this go?

I've removed the head, jug, both case covers and clutch basket and I have this little piece that I don't know where goes. Can anybody help me out? I've checked Clymers manual and it doesn't show it anywhere. Help?

looks like the #20 in oil cooler assembly it goes on the end of your hoses that go into your cases.

naw i didnt take that apart, only the head jug and side cases

so where does it go, i think its from the stator case.

No it goes on either side of the cam to hold it in place.It came out of mine as well.Hope this helps yous out some.:D

Dowel pin from one of the side cases. Is it solid or a ring dowel?

its a solid slug with tapered edges

It's a 6x19 dowl pin for the right side crankcase cover. Its location is near the oil filter.

yah if you took either of the side covers off the motor it goes in there somewheres like where one of the bolts would thread in i think

To me that looks like the plunger for the automatic decompression on the cam.about how big is it(mm wise)?

That is the only thing I can think it is cause it look to small to be a dowel but i caould be wrong.

It's been identified. The auto-decompress plunger is smaller. His pics show the dowel to be 6mmx19mm which is the size of one the two right side crankcase cover dowels.

Good thought though. It does look like the auto-decompress plunger--just too big to be that.
