Hot cam

I just put my top end back together and when I put my new hot cam in the timing mark on the flywheel is just a c**t hair off. I tried moving it a tooth either way but that just makes it worse! Whats going on here? I had this motor completely apart to put a new crank in.

did you put a new timing chain in? if not yours is stretched a little and that is why your timing marks are off.
