motor knocking

Jus baught a little 87 bayou 185, and it has a rebuilt motor. got it running and its making a fairly loud knocking, i've checked the valve lash and timing chain clearances, and everythings good, i was thinking that it could be loose rings or piston slap on the cylinder walls? what do ya'll think?

yeah could be something like worn upper connecting rod causing the piston to knock around....
