I'm ready to to go crazy, I know this has to be illegal so someone tell me what I need to do, please. This is coming out of my paycheck, heres how it goes, yesterday I came home to my phones being shut off, and after review, it turns out while my computer was running, somewhere out of United Kingdom made my dial up call them or something, I just found all this out, and I've been charged with a $305 phone call where they made my dial up call out to them somehow. Io dn't know exactly whats going on but I mean I'm pissed. Let me know what to do, it has to be illegal w/e they done. Is thos ever happened to anyone else. Thanks

i know the feeling
the same thing happend to me 2 years ago. I had phone calls going out to the united kingdom, and a bunch of 1900# for a grand total of $700. At the time i was redoing my house(wasnt living there , and had my comp in the basement. Just to cheak e-mail and things. At first i thought someone was breaking into my house, because the calls were being made at 12:00am. What i did was called my phone company, and told them what happend. They removed the other company from the bill, and i never paid the money. Never heard a thing about it, never anything on my credit report.

It was 11:51 PM when this happened last friday, so they removed the charge when you told them what happened?

I work for an ISP and this has happened to a couple of our customers! the only thing you can do is try to get the phone company not to charge you for it! 75% of the time they will make you pay for it and 25% of the time they will take care of it!
good luck -
tell them u want a 900 and out of country call block.

you know that thing is a virus, and you should probably get a good scanner to clean your system, because it will most likey do it again. oh and just to let you know the virus is usualy called something like hot xxx dialer, so if you stop looking at so much porn, that will help too.
