My 250r with esr 310 run great but I am wondering about my reeds. The cage look different from the others I have seen on the inter net. The guy I bought the r from said it had trinity racing reeds. The cage is pyramid shape with the front and back petals are longer and the side petals are short (only the width of the cage). If I replace them what reeds do you guys suggest for a good mid range? Are esr reeds worth the money?

YOu most likely have a duncan pyramid reed cage so you would have to get the reeds from them.

You can't get standard reeds because most reed cages don't have reeds on the side of the reed cage. YOu have to get those reeds from paul turner-duncan! If you want to change reed cages try the boyesen rad valve because they work great!

Just get replacement reeds for your existing cage. That would be your best bet. I run a Vforce cage and it works well. I have tried a few other cages, and none seem to make a whole lot of difference-- however, putting new reeds into an old cage always feels snappier.

Duncan is the only place that makes the pyramid reed cage. Go to there website and look it up and it will show you what it looks like. You have to get the reeds from duncan!

If you're concerned about cost, call us ESR and get a stock OEM CR250 reed cage. I think they get $90 for the CR250 reed cage with a new intake boot which is designed for that reed cage and also fits a 38/39mm carb perfectly.
