450R. what i need to know for 3000ft ele.

ok i have my quad jetted for 3000ft. and i now have a 450r carb what should i do for fuel mixture screw, needle e clip and i have a slip on fmf my stock carb had a jet kit in it, dyno tech. but was not jetted for an exhaust and it ran fine. should i have to buy a jet kit or a jet or will i be fine? thanx. would like to put quad back to gather and ride sunday.

I really don't think the 450r carb is going to make a huge difference since you only have pipe. ONce you get the motor worked more it will benefit you more then. You are going to have to find out what jets people are running that did the swap so that way you at least have a baseline to start from. Good luck!

i jump of 4mm for a carb(38mm to 42mm) will make a big diffrence motor work or not. motor work will have a bigger diffrence obvouisly. if bigger carbs did not make that big of a diffrence then people would not put them on ther cars and what not. i think it will make a diffrence from the 38mm i just need to know about jetting.
