+ 2 arms?

well i am looking at going wider for stability and lower my 450r. i understand an arm that is +2 is 2" wider than stock, but what does +2+1 mean? adjustable to either +1 or +2? like these

the +1 refers to the fact that they are +1" forward also adding 1" to your wheelbase
