Yesterday i got back riding from a trail i noticed my head pipes had a shade of blue on the bend but when i was riding i didn't notice any poping at all and i was riding through all the gears too!!
I even race my freind who had a 400ex with fmf power core2 on it(we where tied the whole race for you who care) and i didn't any poping at all.. should i change my jetting or is this normal????

mine does the same even when I knew it was rich. If it's way lean, I would think it would get hotter than normal and run with some hesitation. Come to think of it now, that's how my atc250r motor runs, gets hot and gets weak somewhat. I propably need to put a bigger main in, now that I know a little more about carb jetting.
Have you checked your plug?

your plug can give you a much better indication of what is going on than your headpipe..

with a k&n and a slip-on I would think you would need to bump the main jet up a bit...

uhh isnt he talking about using his dynojet kit that came in his "Power Kit"? If so i would throw that 170 in and put some holes in my air lid as needed to lean it out.
