who here recomends a 2000 400ex with mods or a 2002 ex with minor mods?

Hey ther was no changes in those years besides graphics and

sprockets and chainwheel sizes( no big deal) the only thing to consider more is engine life mods compensate reliablility!

only changes were graphics and color (addition of yellow in 2001), not changes in gearing till 05.


what mods are done to each? condition of each bike? price of each bike? need alot more info to give you a decent answer.

alright alright calm down lol ok here are the mods on the 2000 2000 400ex full dmc exhaust,dynojet jet kit,pro design tether,nerfs,brand new front mx holeshots and rear mxr4 holeshot tires(have practice tires on right now but the holeshots have not even been mounted at all and still have all the nipples on them), new primary drive chain, new primary drive rear sprocket, new sunstar front sprocket brand new rear brake rotor hub,new barnett dirt digger racing clutch kit with heavy duty springs brand new springs,new clutch cable,brand new rear shock,race cut fenders,featherlite carbon fiber hood,EBC brakes,msr handle bars,UNI air filter,progrip grips, and a few other things this is a real nice quad and is clean

and on the 2002 there is like a pipe,nerfs,handlebars, hood.

Yup go with the 2000.. Sounds like it has all the mods your going to pretty much need, but ride it first and see if the engine needs rebuilt and what not.. Check for things if you can.
