300EX axle install problem with LoneStar carrier

I have a 1999 Honda TRX300EX. I purchased a LoneStar carrier and I am trying to install my original axle which LoneStar says will work. The sprocket holder seems to be bottoming out at the bearing and won’t go the last 3/8in. into the carrier. I’ve tried driving the axle in with a sledge hammer and it doesn’t help. It isn’t binding in the bearing because I can pull the axle back out by hand. I also don’t think the disc brake hub will fit into the bearing on the other side. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

maybe they sent ya the wrong carrier. Don't know just an idea.

i have a lsr carrier and mine was the same way but just put it togeather and it should work it will al work in to place once you put the lock nut on and tighten it.
