Anyone know if the stock oil tank on a '02 400ex is aluminum or metal?

What can i weld the plug back in with?

It's aluminum.

wich plug?

The nipple on the top, can only be replaced if you build one from scratch.

whoever changed the oil in it last tightened the bolt up way too tight... so when I went to take the bolt out, it twisted it completely off bolt still attached.

Just find someone local to you that can tig weld aluminum, and have them weld it back in place.

should work fine for you.

Thats cool, what information do you have about them.

I was looking for an aftermarket, but wasn't excited about the price.
